I’m running to be the next Santa Clara County Assessor to ensure the Office of the Assessor continues to work for residents and taxpayers by saving taxpayers money and protecting local revenue for vital services for our residents, especially as our County experiences funding cuts at the state and federal levels. As the current Assistant Assessor and having previously served as the attorney for the office, I know the work of the office, appreciate its importance and have the qualifications necessary to be an effective Assessor.

As Assessor, I will ensure the office continues to produce a fair, efficient, accurate, and timely roll and keep customer service as a top priority. Additionally, I will build on the work I have already started in the office to modernize our technology, increase outreach and education to all communities throughout the county, and work with our amazing team to improve efficiencies, expedite processes, and ensure they have the tools, resources and support they need to succeed. It’s important to me that our employees feel supported and connected to their work and the goals of our office.

I have demonstrated my ability to lead and collaborate effectively as a member of the executive management team in the Assessor’s office, a regional leader, attorney, Mayor, and Councilmember. I will be ready on Day 1 to be the Assessor and to manage the office professionally and efficiently — I respectfully ask for your vote!
